New daily discipline

I've been trying to find a Khmer TV show to watch regularly to help my language skills. About a week ago I asked a Khmer friend what she watches. She told me she likes a Korean TV show thats on 5 nights a week, dubbed in Khmer. The Khmer name translates into English as "You're my heart" ) or it could be "I'm your heart".

I asked around and it turns out even my friends who don't have TV know this show. So I've started trying to watch it each evening. When I see my friend (about twice a week) she asks me questions about it. So it's working well, lots of listening practice, and then it becomes speaking practice when I talk to people about it.

Plus its fun and it give me more of a connection to people's lives. I was thinking I would be watching a Khmer TV show, made in Cambodia, in Khmer language, rather than a dubbed one (learn more about language and culture of Cambodia). But this Korean show seems really popular with Khmer people so seems like a good choice for now.

Oooh I love Korean soaps :-) I've watched two with really dodgy English subtitles. What's the storyline? I wonder if it's one of the ones I've seen.

this one is about a guy called hosea, he's engaged to a girl called sobin but he now likes this other called. sobin went a bit crazy when she found out, she's trying to break him and his new girlfriend up i think, also there was a car crash and a doctors girlfriend died, but the blind girl who sort of caused the accident got new eyes from the dead girl, also the family of the dead girl adopted that formerblind girl as their own daughter, without knowing it was her who osrt of caused the accident, but i think the docotr accidently told the younger brother and now hes fighitng with the older brother about it

Wow! Sounds really complicated, I haven't seen it. I watched one called "My lovely Kim Soon" about a girl who is a pastry chef and another one with a name I can't remember about a girl who pretends to be the long lost daughter of a rich family...

i had the night off last night, was feeling tired so didn't want to watch tv. but so far the car crash and broken engagment are still the main events that seem to drive all the events and stuff, personally i've moved on, but they are still talking about it all!
